Routine in a Foreign Land
Routine has taken over a bit since my last post. Trying to settle, work and socialize leaves little time for musing and actual writing.
Through word from a friend, I've switched jobs. Better hours and worse pay but even the less complicated commute is trumped by the freedom to make weekend plans.
I wished for better hours and got them. I've wished for friends and made them. I've even wished for books and they have begun filling my Salvation army bookshelves.
Things are happening. I haven't been on a plane in almost four months- strange to be in one place for so long but essential in creating the life and nest I've chosen.
Strangely centered and happy with the knowledge that I'm building a foundation for something I will take with me into my third decade.
